【生地について】

国内最大の綿織物産地である西脇市。その中でも北播磨地域で生産された薄地織物は「播州織」と呼ばれ、200年以上前から糸を先に染めてから織る先染めという技法で発展してきました。糸染めから製織、後加工という殆どの工程を地域内で一貫して行うことが出来る稀有な産地です。
特に高品質なシャツ地が有名で、繊細な細番手の糸を織る技術に長けています。みんふが扱う播州織は、綿100％でありながらシルクのようなぬめりのある肌触りが特徴。先染めならではの柄物を中心に選んでいます。

みんふ＝民の布、みんなの布。
